CPR Relocation

Back To Projects

Coquitlam, BC

Client: Kiewit/Flatiron

Flow Rate: 700-1,000 GPM

Discharge Point: Fish Bearing Creek

Stormtec was contracted for the dewatering of sediment laden water in a low lying area several 300m long by 50m wide, allowing for excavation and earthworks in the area. The excess water was causing delays for the project, and needed to be drained in less than a week.

The CPR property, adjacent to the Fraser River, required a water removal and treatment system that would address the volume of water collected from the overall surface area due to rain fall and area’s water table.

Consulting with the owner of the property, the contractor and Environmental consultants, and the city,  it was determined a 1000 GPM system was required. The issue that remained was how quick can the system be set up, and will it operate at Municipal and Department of Fisheries and Oceans requirements.

Stormtec successfully had the system delivered, installed and operational within five days, meeting all requirements set out by the contractor on site, the city, and Department of Fisheries and Oceans.
