STORMTEC FILTRATION is an innovative and environmentally conscious water management solutions company serving the construction, industrial, mining oil & gas and forestry sectors. We provide services in sediment control, contaminated water treatment, dewatering, bypass and wheel washing. And we are growing!

Stormtec is seeking an experienced Warehouse Technician to join our team. This is a full-time position Monday to Friday based out of our head office location on Annacis Island.

The warehouse team plays a vital role of managing and maintaining all our rental gear when not on a project. This includes servicing and repairing gear that has been returned to certify it fit for re-use, building new custom-spec equipment being added to our fleet as well as assisting in R&D for the development of new equipment. The Warehouse Mechanic will rely on strong diagnostic skills to assess equipment and preform necessary mechanical repairs in an efficient and timely manner. Our gear includes pumps, tanks, hoses, sand filters, injection units along with liquid and dry chemicals used in our treatment process.

We are seeking a capable, ambitious, and talented individual to join our team to help maintain the equipment as well as assist in inventory management. The ideal candidate understands how to be a strong team member, can think on their feet, multi-task, ensure no details are missed in a fast-paced environment. Must have proven mechanical ability responsible for routine maintenance and troubleshooting of the equipment. 

Qualifications and Skills

  • Has the ability to multitask while prioritizing competing priorities
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
  • Prepare inspection, maintenance, work reports and record details on forms and log books
  • Can work effectively in a team and independently
  • Preform duties safely to comply with safety regulations
  • Operate forklift and overhead cranes
  • Operate hand and power tools in a safe and effective manner
  • Knowledge of machining and welding would be an asset
  • Test repaired equipment for proper performance to ensure that work meets specifications
  • Ensure equipment is checked and tested when returned from site
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Keep up to date on knowledge of practices, methods, techniques, tools and equipment used


  • Must have a valid driver’s license with a respectable driving record
  • Ability to lift heavy loads of up to 50lbs
  • Previous mechanical experience with diesel engines and electrical systems would be preferred
  • Willingness to work overtime, and on call, particularly during rainy season is required
  • Certified Forklift Operator license 

Salary Range: $18.00/hr - $22.00/hr (depending on experience) plus benefits
